news and updates

April 30, 2008

The depthCORE.com Collective today proudly release their thirty-third themed exhibition, entitled 'REQUIEM'. This pack is steeped in reflection as it follows on from the work produced in 'TEMPLE' to mourn, celebrate and reflect on the core concepts artistically examined in the last pack, including nature, spirituality and modern life. Months in the making, this pack elicited a slow but powerful response from our artists, seeing some of the most intense and personal visual and audio work our members have created to date.

We are very pleased to spotlight Kervin Brisseaux as 'REQUIEM's featured artist; Kervin's unique style of artwork complimented the Requiem theme beautifully, and brought forth a compelling series of images. Coupled with his wonderful contributions to the collective over many years, Kervin's efforts this pack made him an easy selection for the feature; we hope you enjoy reading his detailed and insightful answers in the customary interview.

As we are sure you have noticed, this pack also sees the advent of a new version of the depthCORE.com showcase; all community elements have been removed from the site to place a stronger emphasis on the art and artists of the collective. Plans are in place to produce a new and seperate version of the community, although no date has been set. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy the new, sleek version of the site, as well as the new collection of work available.

The wait for more will not be as prolonged, we promise.
