The caterpillar realizes he needs to change and get better...so he spines his cocoon and sets his alarm for 3pm on Tuesday...he awakens with a cup of tea by his bed and emerges with his top hat and tails and his new colorful robotic wings.
My first piece for Time and a new piece of art for quite a while. I wanted to capture the changes going in my life right now, both artistically and personally. I think I'm more at the point of the desire of the transformation rather than the transformation itself.
After much thought and great advice on my work, I really want to refine my style of illustration but also explore it to a much greater extent. I want to make it tighter and more detailed.
I've also brought back much more color to my art, something which was very prominent about 5 years ago. I love color and although I'm proud of my less colorful pieces, I feel like I need to go back to my roots and push things to the extreme all over again.
