Neo Eden Thesis

Neo Eden is an exploration into extraterrestrial architecture. It is the antithesis of the terrestrial, post-human, as well as simultaneously futurist and anti-futurist. Ultimately, Neo-Eden is a paradox in which it projects terrestrial entities into an extraterrestrial environment.

When I started doing the research for this project, I had no idea where it would end up. What started off as an interest in the technical capabilities of habitual space travel became something much more. This thesis dealt with a variety of issues, but the most imperative was addressing the relationship between man and technology and the paradox that is latent in its subtext when these two entities are brought into outer space. Ultimately, this thesis exposes this paradoxical nature by revealing the apparent dangers of living in outer space. The summation of the project's timeline is the demise of the human species and the ability of the architecture to adapt and continue on as a post-human automaton.
