Nike - Justin Maller

Working with Nike is always a pleasure. Although the creative process is quite long, involving a great deal of tweaking and development, the end results always end up being folio highlights.

Last year I was contacted by them to create this piece for LeBron James' apparel line. I was extremely excited, being a lifelong basketball fan and a fairly avid sneaker collector - finally getting that email from Nike geeked me out in a way few things can these days.

The brief they sent over looked fantastic, and working on this piece truly was a pleasure; getting the opportunity to experiment with the integration of abstract, photos and identity explorations taught me some truly valuable lessons.

First workup. These abstract forms and lion integration would become the foundation for the rest of the piece.
